Reflection Stage
Attending all of those personal project exhibitions year after year it had always been something I had been looking forward to but at the same time really nervous about. I would always think about how what if I chose a topic that I later lost interest in, or what if on exhibition day I didn’t have much interest from the visitors. Finally, I can say that I have indeed gone through personal project and survived. I can honestly say that it has been a long demanding journey over all but I really do not dread having gone through it because I learned a lot of things that I know for a fact I would not have pushed myself to do. I am also really happy to say that I have successfully achieved and can see my personal project leading onto other projects that can be fulfilled in the future. I honestly know that I would very much like to continue my workings from this project further onto a bigger scale. The learning experience was a journey through every step because it did not just stop at one point every single detail contributed to my learning on a different scale.
Testing against specifications:
In order to test my final products I was able to have reflection sheets for both my website and videos on my table during exhibition + have testing results from students from my workshops + results from surveys I had sent out to specific people to meet my age groups. Screenshots of these reports are specifically found on page Testing Results.

My goal was met to its highest standards and I was able to gain so much out of this experience personally and make a difference in the lives of others. This led me to use all of the approaches to learning skills that have accumulated over the years through various projects completed at school, I was able to bring all of those to a whole new level that will for sure help me in the future. The usage of ATL's played a key role in being able to meet the high standards of my goal. At first I was able to push through my thinking skills through the necessary critical thinking that took place when identifying problems such as "How will I best communicate the Primary Survey Technique through a video representation?" or when I came face to face with technical difficulties it was important that I did not give up but rather critically evaluate the situation then find someone who is an expert in this area to take a look at the problem I was facing thus creating a solution to my problem. In addition, I was able to develop aims, goals and objectives throughout not only the main goal of the project but when planning as well. This meant that I was able to say that my aim is to produce a website and a series of videos that will address relevant information of first aid and then produce objectives such as efficient cross checked research that would one objective to fulfill the aim. I was able to set goals for myself, I could identify that if 80% or more thought that my video had smooth transitions then it would fulfill the aim of the specification/criteria covered. I was able to draw conclusions from the results that I received from surveys by analyzing and making reasonable judgement based off of my logical critical thinking. Throughout the investigation stage I was able to formulate key questions that were provocative and relevant that helped create the steps that were required to fulfill the final product. Communication skills played one of the larger roles throughout my project. Going into detail, I was able to sue active listening techniques to listen to others either when it was Mr. Esmail there to guide us through the process or Nurse Bilge when she was helping me aid a patient. The appropriate approach taken with surveys allowed me to give and receive appropriate feedback. In order to make things happen even if it was the slightest booking of the boardroom, the usage of variety of speaking techniques to make meaning clear for different audiences and purposes came into play as the appropriate forms of communication (verbal or written) is different when I am addressing my workshop of 5th graders versus Mr. Lumsden to get permission for missing classes to take action. The form that my final report is written in is also another example of the development in the structure of information correctly submitted. Communication is a gateway to the development of collaboration skills also known as Social. Taking the initiative to help other when appropriate and encourage contribution from others. Being empathetic.
Throughout the whole project I can summarize the three objectives I fulfilled was learning first aid (becoming certified), creating a website and video, and teaching a workshop. I came to understand the term First Aid is for everyone, everywhere because the age, race, sex, etc. does not change the fact that emergencies strike at anytime, anywhere and affect anyone. I came to understand that you can be a hero by learning and providing first aid when the time comes and ensuring first aid training is accessible to all. To make it accessible to all was an initial thought that derived the creation of three objectives of this project.
I found that my topic correlated specifically with the global context scientific and technical innovations studying in deep the impact of environments on human activity. I came to understand how the interaction between people and the natural world. When thinking about First Aid and the general concept of providing the immediate attention and making a different possible preventing a worse outcome. Similarly, explores the impact of scientific and technical advances on communities and environments, as you come to realize that the slightest advancement of a different in a community creates a long lasting impact. This is the idea that I dug deep to understand through the impact of the scientific advancement of First Aid concept with the inclusion of the products that were created as the technical advancement. It is evident that the environments in which someone is in causes an impact on their activity which results in the human to adapt to the said environment according to their needs.
Overall, the whole process was exhilarating, enlightening, and well honestly exhausting. It is in the amount of exhaustion that I feel that I know that I am proud of the hard work and effort I put in because it is the feeling of satisfaction. For future steps to come I plan on continuing the intricate passion that I have been able to bond through my own learning the whole process of First Aid Workshops. I plan on following the PTA Grant Application in order to request for dummies to practice first aid on, this equiptment would be essential in the project moving forward. I then look into having first aid be an addition into the curriculum of "guidance" class from grades 7 through 9. I have arranged and met with Ms. St. George regarding this issue and a positive consensus has been made. Moreover, creating a first aid workshop regularly for students and or staff as an afterschool event or an event done 2 or more times a year to keep the students and staff equipped, this motivated me to want to create a goal for this project in which it would be a number of increase put on the amount of students that would receive first aid certificates.
