Process Journal Entry 4: Designs
Design for Videos:
The designs for the three videos that I will be creating are as seen below. It is very important to note that the reason there is only a Design A for the videos that I will be creating are solely because of the reason that first aid techniques are based off of one type of way to perform the aid. If I were to do a design B as well, this would perhaps tamper with the effective results of the performance of the technique and the way that it is communicated. I have done necessary research through the usage of websites, articles written by professionals, and books that have all performed and used the same language that will be present in the videos. I have spoken to Nurse Bilge about this issue and it has been agreed upon that the creation of one video would be the most effective and non tampering way that I would be able to communicate across the necessary information present.

Video 1: Primary Survey Design A
The design above meeting specifications #1, #2, and #3.
Video 2: Assessing Infants
Above are the designs looking at assessing an infant younger than the age of 1.
Video 3: Burns
Designs above discuss burns.
All designs indicate a clear idea how the description, different transitions and shots that are going to be used, as well as the specifications that are specifically for each scene. We can see that since for the videos it was evident that only one design for each all Design A's specifically tackle all of the individual specifications so that they are the best that they can be, survey results that can be found on the survey results tab can show the specific test results that aided me to come to this conclusion as well.

Website Designs:
Below are both design A and B of the websites, following you will find the designs evaluated against the design specifications.
Planning Stage: Evaluating Website Against Inner sub specifications:
Testing Against Specifications:
For my website only one general specification was noted and this was: Upon the usage of my website positive action should take place. This is a broad specification on its own which is why I have created inner sub specifications that will allow me to create weightings for and then use to compare Design A and B of my websites against the specifications that have been created.
Specification 1: Color Scheme: elegant black and white for text and titles should be friendly using blue, orange, red, pink different bright colors but not clashing
Weighting: 2
Design A: 2
Design B: 1
Specification 2: Color coordinate sections with same color titles
Weighting: 1
Design A: 1
Design B: X (N/A)
Specification 3: Organization: Each section should have its own page and or sub page
Weighting: 2
Design A: 2
Design B: 1
Specification 4: Content should be appropriate with target audience appropriate vocabulary
Weighting: 2
Design A: 2
Design B: 1
Specification 5: Should be an easily accessible website
Weighting: 2
Design A: 2
Design B: 2
MAXIMUM POINTS THAT CAN BE REACHED: 9 points
Design A Reached 9 points
Design B Reached 5 points
After looking at what each design has scored from each area of the inner sub specifications that I have created for the one specification I had written for the overall website, I have decided to create design A. As you can see from the evaluation against inner sub specifications completed above Design A scored a successful 9 points out of 9 points whereas Design B scored 5 points out of the available 9 points. Design A successfully met all of the inner sub specifications which meant that it has the potential to fully complete and meet the main specification once created. The first specification dealt with the overall appearance of the website, using the same font throughout, the same title colors, and text colors following an elegant black and white scheme for the text but bright colors for the rest. I evaluated that Design A successfully followed this specification however, there were many instances in Design B where it did not meet the requirements. There were different title colors, and different fonts used to try a different style however was unsuccessful and did not work. The colors that were used in Design A contributed highly to the overall communication of the website and its content highly. The next specification that was looked at was color coordination, as mentioned above Design B failed to meet this specification. Design A successfully had one theme of color and font that was carried out throughout that kept the website aesthetically more pleasing. The next specification discussed was organization. I found that the organization in Design A was different to Design B's. In Design B there were more text, photo galleries and videos split up into different sections on one page which created a very crowded page. Although the splitting up into sections was a good way to go if my audience of all ages were to access the design B website they would be lost whereas the organization used in Design A is easy to understand and correlates really well to what I would think my target audience would appreciate. Next came the content that was present in the designs. I found that although Design B had more of a visual appeal it did not include enough written content that Design A included in terms of communicating the message across. Although visuals appeal to my target audience the visuals do not include enough information that would communicate the written work. The final specification is the accessibility to the website, as both websites would initially be made using the same website creator wix.com, they would both be accessed the same so they were both awarded the same points in this specification.
Overall after going over the evaluation with my own opinions I was able to get the look of 3 other people's opinions ranging from the age of 10, 16, and 36 which allowed me to get an overall idea of what the different ages found at IICS would think.

I thought that both Design A and Design B both included a lot of necessary information in order to communicate across a successful workshop however there are items that are in Design A which are not in Design B and vise versa. This is why I will be evaluating both designs against the design specification in order to find which one is most valuable and must be proceeded with. This evaluation is as follows...
The specification itself for the lesson plan is one that specifically targets the lesson plan as a whole, this si why I have decided to break the specification down.
Specification: The lesson plans for students/teachers for teaching first aid include content and interactions in order to engage the audience.
Specification 1: Interactiveness (question answer format, move around etc...)
Weighting: 3
Design A: 1
Design B: 3
Specification 2: Content (First Aid Heavy)
Weighting: 3
Design A: 2
Design B: 3
Specification 3: Use of different sources (more than 1 type of source)
Weighting: 2
Design A: 1
Design B: 2
Specification 4: Age appropriate (All ages)
Weighting: 2
Design A: 1
Design B: 2
MAXIMUM SCORE: 11
Design A: 5
Design B: 11
As seen in the total scores it seems as though that Design B is the most best fit when evaluated against the specifications as it meets all of the specified requirements it received an 11 out of 11 whereas design A only met 5 out of 11. Specification 1 deals with the
